Metamorphoses Le Senghor - Room 1900 , EtterbeekCrawl, slide, and run past the notes during Métamorphoses by Bastien David, a sound spectacle for young and old centered around a gigantic 'Metallophone'.
An exceptional concert of exceptional spirituality: two immense Estonian personalities make up this program for string orchestra and percussion!
Two generations will also be in dialogue here: Erkki-Sven Tüür, who has no equal in sculpting light through the chiseled sound of strings, honors us with a world premiere. From the internationally acclaimed Arvo Pärt, who celebrated his 90th birthday last year, we will hear the famous Fratres , but also the spiritual questioning of Mein Weg , inspired by the words of the Jewish poet Edmond Jabès: "Mein Weg hat Gipfel und Wellentäler" ("My path is made of peaks and valleys" ).
This concert, where the Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles will invite our gaze to turn towards what is greater than ourselves, will also be traversed by a symbolism of transmission and tributes, since the luminous layers of Arvo Pärt, which seem to descend from the sky to salute Benjamin Britten (Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten ), will be answered by The Path and the Traces(Le Chemin et les Traces) which Erkki-Sven Tüür wrote in Crete in homage to Arvo Pärt, when his own father disappeared.
